HubSpot Property Name Checker
HubSpot to GoHighLevel Migration Data Pack
Moving a whole portal? We map contacts, companies and deals into import-ready GoHighLevel CSVs with a custom-field list and an import-order runbook.
In HubSpot's property editor, each property has a label and an internal name (source: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/properties/understand-the-property-editor). Custom properties that duplicate a default one ("Email Address" next to the default Email property, "Company" next to Company name; see HubSpot's default contact properties: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/properties/hubspots-default-contact-properties) or each other ("lead_source" and "Lead Source") split your data and make imports and migrations harder. Paste your property names below to find these before you create, import or migrate. Nothing is sent anywhere.
HubSpot property name checker
Paste property labels or internal names, one per line. The checker suggests a HubSpot-style internal name for each, and flags clashes with default HubSpot properties, near-duplicates, names starting with hs_, and characters that break CSV mapping.
Your file is read in your browser with JavaScript. Nothing is uploaded or sent anywhere, and nothing is stored after you close the page.
Rules the checker applies
- Internal names are suggested in lower case with underscores. HubSpot says the internal name cannot be edited after you create the property (source: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/properties/understand-the-property-editor), so it is worth getting right first.
- Names starting with hs_ are flagged as a precaution, and we suggest choosing a different prefix for custom properties.
- If a default property exists for the data, use it.
- One property per meaning. Names that only differ by case, spaces or underscores are flagged as near-duplicates.
- Avoid symbols such as $ and %; put units in the label ("Budget USD").
FAQ
